Osceola Township Emergency Medical Responders Monthly Activity Reports & Information
January 2018: There were three calls during the month of January. Two new members of the First Responders are completing the MFR schooling and will take the National Registry test.
February 2018: In February there were two calls in Osceola Township, two calls in Torch Lake Township and two calls in Franklin Township. There have been a total of 9 calls in 2018.
March 2018: In March there were two calls in Osceola Township, two calls in Torch Lake Township and four calls in Franklin Township, bringing the total numbers of calls in 2018 to 17. Congratulations to Boyd Anderson and Tony Datto who completed the MFR training and passed testing for certification. Two members will be attending the Copper Country EMS conference in April.
April 2018: In April there were three calls in Osceola Township and four calls in Torch Lake Township. This brings the yearly total to 24 calls. Two members attended the Copper Country EMS Conference.
May 2018: In May there were eight calls, bringing the total number of calls in 2018 to 32.
June 2018: In June there were five calls. Four of the calls were in Osceola Township and one was in Torch Lake Township. This brings the total number of calls in 2018 to 37.
July 2018: In July there were six calls: 3 in Osceola Township, 2 in Torch Lake Township and 1 in Franklin Township. This puts the total number of calls in 2018 to 43. On July 3, we lent assistance to one individual and on the 4th we treated two for heat exhaustion. These calls did not go through the 911 system since we were on the scene and no ambulance for transport was required. No educational opportunities were available in July. We are now receiving texts as well as getting paged out on the radios.
August 2018: In August there were seven calls: 5 in Osceola Township and 2 in Torch Lake Township. This puts the total number of calls in 2018 to 50.
