Osceola Township Emergency Medical Responders Monthly Activity Reports & Information
January 2017: In January there were six calls: 1 at Mt. Ripley and 5 in Dollar Bay. The First Responders thanks everyone for their support.
February 2017: In February there were eight calls: 3 in Osceola Township, 2 in Torch Lake Township and 3 in Franklin Township. This brings the total to 14 calls in 2017.
March 2017: For the month of March there were eight calls: 5 in Osceola Township, 2 in Torch Lake Township and 1 in Franklin Township. There have been 22 calls for the year so far.
April 2017: In April there were three calls: 2 in Osceola Township and 1 in Torch Lake Township. There have been 25 calls for the year. All EMRs attended the Copper Country EMS seminar and all were re-certified in CPR/AED.
May 2017: In May there were five calls in Osceola Township. There have been 30 calls for the year.
June 2017: In June there were four calls: 1 in Osceola Township and 3 in Torch Lake Township. The total calls for the year have been 34. There will be a First Responders class in September. If anyone is interested, please call Lloyd at 906-370-6248.
July 2017: In July there were seven calls: 4 in Osceola Township and 3 in Torch Lake Township, which brings the total calls to 41 for the year. The responders will participate at Camp 911 on August 1st and 2nd. Anyone interested in being a first responder can contact Lloyd at 906-370-6248.
August 2017: In August there were two calls: 1 in Dollar Bay and 1 in Ripley. The total calls for the year are 43. First Responders candidates need to have their applications in by the 15th of September.
September 2017: In September there were seven calls: 5 in Osceola Township, 1 in Franklin Township and 1 in Torch Lake Township, which brings the total calls for the year to 50. There are four people attending the Medical First Responders class. The department also assisted for Fire Prevention Week at the school and will be patrolling for Halloween.
October 2017: During the month of October there were seven calls: 3 in Dollar Bay, 2 in Tamarack City, 2 in Torch Lake Township. The total calls for the year have been 57. We had to have one of our MFR applicants drop out of school due to schedule changes at work.
